Peter Paul Rubens, The Calydonian Boar Hunt, 1611-12
The Getty is planning an exhibition on Peter Paul Rubens' engagement with the Classical past. "Rubens: Picturing Antiquity" will bring together carved gems and other ancient objects known to Rubens, along with the artist's paintings, oil sketches, and drawings treating antiquity. The show will run at the Getty Villa Oct. 21, 2020—Jan. 11, 2021.

On the schedule for the Getty Center are surveys of William Blake (the current Tate Britain show, in modified form) and Imogen Cunningham. "William Blake: Visionary" runs July 21—Oct. 11, 2020. "Imogen Cunningham: A Retrospective" is slated for Sep. 15, 2020—Jan. 10, 2021.
